Augustina Soreng - District Coordinator

Augustina Soreng is a young Adivasi woman from the Khadia tribe in Simdega district. For the past 12 years, she has been working on issues concerning Adivasi women and her community. In recognition of her grassroots work towards gender equality, justice, and equity, she was honoured with the 2024 Martha Farrell Award for Women's Empowerment and the 2024 Samya Gender Champion Award.

In her current role as Cluster Coordinator in Jharkhand, she continues to champion the rights and empowerment of tribal communities. Her dream is to help build a just and inclusive society for Adivasi communities.
